How do I adjust the heat setting on my fireplace?
The heat setting controls are located behind the access panel on the left side. There are 3 controls. 2 toggle switches marked 750W and a dial to adjust the heat setting. The fireplace is rated at 5,000 BTUs which is plenty of heat for an average sized room. Each 750W switch controls ½ of the heater’s total power. If you turn one 750W switch to the “on” position you are operating at ½ heat or roughly 2500 BTUs. With both switches in the “on” position, you are operating at full power. The dial controls how often the heater will cycle “on”. While the fans circulates air continuously, the heating elements actually cycle on and off to maintain a comfortable room temperature. To increase the frequency of the heating elements being “on”, simply turn the dial clockwise. To reduce the amount of heat being put out of the firebox insert, turn the dial counter clockwise.
